This year the Human Society of the Harrisburg Area is celebrating 100 years of service to Central Pennsylvania.  They are teaming up with the Pride of the Susquehanna riverboat for a one of a kind event!  At “Ride the Pride with Your Dog,” pet owners and their pooches can cruise the Susquehanna and enjoy a picnic lunch courtesy of Flinchy’s and Yuengling.

Amy Kaunas, Executive Director of the Humane Society is excited about the first year for this event.  She also said, “Collaboration is part of the Humane Society’s mission and we are proud to be collaborating with another non-profit on this project while raising awareness for both organizations.”

People can register online or show up the day of the event.  The cost is $25 per person or $40 for 2 people.  Each pooch will receive a “goodie bag” filled with canine treats from Nestle Purina!  Pet owners will also have the opportunity to have their pet(s) photographed by the Camera Box Photography with them on the Pride of the Susquehanna.
